Social media is an incredible way to reach new listeners, but it shouldn’t be the foundation of an artist’s career. Algorithms change, platforms come and go, and accounts can be limited or removed without warning. That’s why I believe every independent artist should have a place online that they truly own.
A website is more than a digital business card, it’s your headquarters.
On my website, visitors can explore my music, watch videos, learn my story, discover new merchandise, read blog posts, and find ways to work with me. Instead of relying on a single platform, everything connects in one place.
A website also creates opportunities that social media alone can’t provide. Fans can subscribe to email updates, businesses can inquire about licensing music, event organizers can access press materials, and potential collaborators can quickly understand your brand.
Search engines are another advantage. A well-built website allows people to discover your work through articles, music pages, and other content that continues working long after it’s published. Unlike a social media post that disappears from feeds after a few days, a helpful article can attract visitors for years.
For independent artists, ownership is one of the biggest advantages. You control your design, your message, your content, and the experience you want visitors to have. You’re building a long-term asset instead of renting space on someone else’s platform.
Every song, video, performance, and product becomes part of a larger story. Instead of asking people to follow you in different places, you can invite them into a complete world built around your music and vision.
Whether someone discovers me through a song, a live performance, or a social media post, my goal is simple: give them one place where they can experience everything I’m creating.
Your music deserves a home that’s built to last.
