People say the industry is oversaturated. Too many artists. Too much music. Too much content. I disagree. It’s not oversaturated. It’s under-developed.
Most artists don’t develop:
• Brand clarity
• Business knowledge
• Performance skills
• Long-term strategy
Uploading music isn’t development. Going viral isn’t development.
Development looks like:
• Improving songwriting intentionally
• Studying live stage presence
• Learning contracts
• Understanding marketing psychology
There are millions of songs. But there are very few fully developed artists. That’s the opportunity. If you commit to development, you immediately separate yourself. The barrier isn’t talent. It’s discipline.
